The Tiger behind the mist

The Delta del Tigre, background of my childhood, is an enigmatic jungle.
Whenever I come back in Buenos Aires, the river Plata opens hunting memories. Whatever my transport means, sailing, boat-bus or boat, I find the smell of my ghosts and the weight of absence. The muddy water goes moving on and on until everything disappears, except the stars.

The Delta del Tigre is experiencing unprecedented urbanisation in its wild territory. The islands are only one hour away from the city of Buenos Aires. The public authorities lack strong plans for the protection of nature. Urbanisation is becoming a plundering. The riverbed has been contaminated with glyphosate for decades...
